New to Church
If you've never been to a baptist church before, here's what to expect:

-
People wear smart casual clothes, like going to a birthday party. People will be wearing jeans & t-shirts.
-
We will pray. Most people will close their eyes, but you don't have to.
-
We will sing songs. Some people might clap their hands or lift their hands in the air.
-
People will come and talk to you. They are just trying to welcome you and make you feel accepted.
-
You can sit anywhere.

-
For kids younger than school aged, there is a room at the back where you can go to let them play. You can still hear what is happening in the service from the room & see through a window, but we can't hear you.
-
We will drink tea & coffee and eat morning tea in the hall behind the church after the service. This is free.
-
You don't have to agree with what the church believes to attend.
-
When they pass a bag around to collect money, you don't have to put any money in.
-
Your school-aged kids can go to their own program during church time. This only runs during school-term time.
